How do you verify supplier credentials on givvable?
givvable uses a range of smart technologies, including AI/ML, Big Data and Data Modelling, to identify verified credentials of suppliers across the full range of ESG issues, globally.
This data may be retrieved from a range of sources including publicly available information, reports and filings, issuers of credentials, assessors and auditors, government databases and from suppliers themselves. It then aggregates, structures and matches high volumes of disparate data points in order to verify it.
Once verified, the credential is published on the givvable platform and automatically links or aligns business actions to sustainability & ESG themes, goals and targets. Get started here.
How often is the information on givvable updated?
givvable generates supplier sustainability profiles daily. The platform uses AI/ML to continuously enrich the data and triangulate new information on a supplier, and runs on constant refresh cycles.
This enables givvable to maintain the currency and accuracy of the information in the givvable platform, subject to its Standard Terms & Conditions. Get started here.
Can I get my business' credentials pre-validated on givvable?

What happens if a supplier is not listed on givvable?
If a supplier is not listed on the givvable platform, it means givvable has not detected any third party verifiable sustainability or ESG credentials held by that supplier at that time.
This does not necessarily mean that the supplier does not hold any credentials. The supplier could hold privately assessed or non-public credentials. Suppliers can be invited to register credentials for validation via the givvable platform or via automated supplier invites (bulk distribution).
If the supplier does not hold any credentials, the supplier can complete givvable or partner learning modules which are available on the supplier portal, and which are tracked on the givvable platform (and remain current for a period of 18 months). They can also discover credentials that may be suitable for their business.
A credential my business holds is not listed in givvable, can I suggest a credential to be covered?
Yes, it is possible to suggest a credential in both the givvable platform and Supplier Portal. givvable will consider whether the credential links or aligns to an ESG issue under its methodology, and determine whether there is sufficient information to identify and verify the credential on a continuous basis.
What are the givvable category icons?
The givvable category icons are Environment, Ethical, Diversity, Social, Community and Governance and provide a high-level indication of the Environmental, Social and / or Governance (ESG) area(s) that an organization’s credential(s) relate to. A credential may relate to one or more givvable categories, or to none.
Why do the givvable category icons only show for some credentials?
Sustainability & ESG credential data is dynamic and givvable’s platform runs on constant refresh cycles (see How often is the information on givvable updated?).
Mapping of credentials to provide insights is a continuous process with new insights added regularly and as previous mapping is reviewed and updated for changes to Credentials to ensure alignment with the current methodology.
A givvable category icon will be displayed where a credential has been mapped and the mapping links the credential to that givvable category.
Not all credentials, and therefore not all organization profiles, will display a givvable category icon. The reasons for this could include:
- Based on givvable’s methodology, a category icon cannot be applied. For example, this could be the case where an organization has undertaken a learning module. Completion of the module will be recognized on the organization’s profile, however, it may not map to any givvable categories.
- The credential has a yellow or red flag. Yellow or red flagged credentials have a negative connotation from a sustainability or ESG perspective and therefore will not be mapped to any givvable categories.
- Mapping of the credential has not yet been completed.
Does your organization align with Singapore Code of Conduct for ESG Rating and Data Providers?
givvable has adopted the Singapore Code of Conduct for ESG Rating and Data Providers ('Code of Conduct') and self-assessed against the checklist. For the purposes of this self-assessment, givvable considers itself to be an ESG Data Product Provider.
Under the Code of Conduct, providers are encouraged to disclose in detail their compliance with each of the best practice requirements. You may access a copy of our disclosure here.
