Office of the NSW Anti-slavery Commissioner releases v2.0 of Modern Slavery Risk Assessment Tool
Knowledge Update
The Office of the NSW Anti-slavery Commissioner has released version 2.0 of the Inherent Risk Identification Tool (IRIT), developed in partnership with the University of Sydney.

This advanced risk mapping tool aims to assist NSW public sector buyers in identifying modern slavery risks across various products and services, enabling them to prioritize further due diligence efforts.
Due to its expansive category coverage, IRIT also presents broader applicability across other sectors.
givvable's Dynamic Materiality Assessments
givvable’s dynamic materiality assessment, which is being updated for IRIT v2.0, offers a comprehensive, best practice examination of suppliers in relation to:
🧩 Relevance to your organization.
🚩 Risk for modern slavery from a location and product & service perspective, as well as company ESG risk.
📢 Action (mitigating, hindering or inaction) to prevent modern slavery and protect human rights.
If your materiality assessment only considers location and product & services of suppliers, it may lack depth of analysis and risk overlooking dynamic factors critical for a more accurate and comprehensive assessment.
