Our new target will support organizations that:
- Have gender equality procurement commitments or criteria, including supplier diversity, social procurement or DE&I programs and targets
- Are looking to implement gender equality procurement objectives
- Are seeking to obtain or maintain an Australian Workplace Gender Equality Citation (open to companies reporting to WGEA under the Workplace Gender Equality Act)
- Have made gender equality commitments or pledges, such as being signatories to the Women’s Empowerment Principles
Suppliers linked to the objective may contribute to or support a range of initiatives that promote gender equity and inclusion, such as ensuring equal representation across roles and leadership levels, advocating for fair compensation by eliminating gender pay gaps, and fostering inclusive workplace cultures through equitable policies and non-discriminatory practices. They may also champion economic participation by supporting the full involvement of women and underrepresented genders in the workforce and supply chain or uphold safety and wellbeing by implementing measures to prevent gender-based violence and harassment.
