This is the story of her.platform, a social enterprise that has created a space for women to exercise
their right to be free, safe and happy.
WOMEN ARE STRONGER TOGETHER
her.platform is a social enterprise that empowers women to achieve greater health, wellbeing and
safety. Their network is designed to bring together like-minded women that want to have real
conversations.
This social enterprise started as a way to support The Centre For Women & Co a not-for-profit organisation that provides support to women and children affected by domestic violence. The Centre provides counselling, crisis, and court-related, support services as well as outreach projects to
educate young people about domestic violence. It also offers a men’s program that aims to support men who commit violence to change their behaviours.
her.platform is a key player in the social impact space helping to empower women, similar to another
female-strong social enterprise, Tsuno, that creates beautiful opportunities from a monthly reality.
BUSINESS MODEL: PROFIT DONATION
her.platform is two things: an online community and an online store, where all profits are invested in programs run by The Centre For Women & Co.

her.platform’s online community launched in early 2019 and provides everyday women access to practical and empowering health, safety and wellbeing education.
Through their online forum and learning spaces, women can safely share their stories and know that they are being heard.
The online shop launched in November 2019 and stocks a variety of Australian-made products that range from body sprays and essential oils to women’s garments, including t-shirts with uplifting and empowering designs and thick cotton tote bags.
All products are created and manufactured in partnership and collaboration with local, social enterprises or female-led small businesses.
SUPPORTING LOCAL BUSINESSES
her.platform collaborates with Australian artists that create limited edition designs for their products. A local printer based in Brisbane works on their t-shirt and totes, and all manufacturers have socially responsible production strategies in place.
Later this year some of their printing will be completed by Words With Heart, another Brisbane-based social enterprise that supports female education.
The oils and sprays sold on their website are also locally produced and packaged.
SOCIAL CERTIFICATIONS
her.platform achieved Social Traders certification earlier this year, yet another example of their commitment to a social enterprise business model.
