4S: Sustainable & Social Suppliers' Stories

FREE TO FEED

What if you could send some love in a lunch box to someone that needs to stay at home?
Today you can do that, and more, with one simple order:

With Free to Feed, you can help refugees and asylum seekers while helping someone you care about.

WHAT IS FREE TO FEED?

Based in Melbourne and founded 5 years ago, Free to Feed is a social enterprise that was created with a specific purpose in mind:
To help refugees, asylum seekers and new migrants find meaningful employment and feel at home in their new community.

Challenges like social isolation and lack of employment are only some of the issues new arrivals face when entering the country.

Free to Feed empowers the participants of its program to use their existing skills and experiences to pursue a career in food planning and preparation, or related industries. It also facilitates more and meaningful interactions with the local community within which they live.

Through a comprehensive training and professional development program, the participants are able to deliver a true taste of their homelands through authentic food experiences, workshops, events and catering.

Tailored to each occasion, you can choose whether to enjoy a meal at your home, school, workplace, or simply join a community class.

INNOVATIVE INITIATIVE: BRAVE MEALS

In addition to the workshops, events and catering hosted by Free to Feed, they have also come up with a fantastic initiative called Brave Meals.

With a rotating menu of delectable meals designed to nourish each of us during these challenging times, customers can order a BRAVE MEAL for pick up or delivery every Wednesday and Friday.

The meals are diverse and range from Sri Lankan potato curry to fish kofte to caramelised coconut pudding. Yum!

If you’d like to share a BRAVE MEAL with someone stuck at home, you can order online and have it delivered directly to them.

HOW CAN BUSINESSES LEVERAGE THIS POSITIVE IMPACT

If your company is based in Melbourne you can send a Brave treat to your employees for lunch and, at the same time, support work opportunities for refugees and asylum seekers.

When buying Free to Feed you are able to contribute to many of the UN Sustainable Development Goals such as No Poverty, Zero Hunger, Quality Education and Gender Equality.

If you are a sustainable and social supplier ready to expand your business opportunities by connecting through digital channels to the corporate sector and improve their experience, we can help you.
